Since 2008, I have been systematically photographing the province of Noord-Holland by dividing it into thousands of quadrants. Each coordinate is visited and documented, creating an accumulating archive of transformation.

This ongoing project surrenders aesthetic choice to geographic method. The grid dictates what I photograph, revealing the overlooked, the ordinary, and the spaces between destinations. Over fifteen years, the archive has captured profound changes: allotment gardens disappearing, infrastructure expanding, coastlines shifting — the seemingly permanent polder in constant mutation.
